Introduction

On August 28, 2008, Wipro Technologies (Wipro), the flagship company of Wipro Ltd., won the Intel Global Innovation award for Storage³.

The company received the award for its innovative NetPower Storage Server solution⁴, a part of Wipro's Applied Innovation Framework and an outcome of the company's ecological sustainability initiatives⁵.

The award came as a major recognition for the company's decision to let innovation be the driving force for its product development process.
